Limón province stretches along all of the country's Caribbean coast. In this province you can find the ports of Limon and Moin, two of the most important ports in the country. A special feature of this province is that a large chunk of its population is of black ethnicity, which gives it a number of traditions and customs very different from the rest of the country. In this province the Tortuguero canals are known as one of the destinations that tourists do not want to miss. Similarly some of the beaches in the southern part of the province have become very popular among visitors and as well as the town of Puerto Viejo.
