San José

The province of San José is mainly known because the city of the same name is the capital of Costa Rica. In this province lives and works most of the country's population. It's a very urban province that many travelers visit mainly for business. The center of the capital city has attractions for all travelers, such as the National Theatre and several museums. Like any city around the world, many large residential areas (suburbs) have developed in this province. For example, southwest of the city you can find Escazú, Santa Ana and Ciudad Colón, meanwhile east of the capital you can find San Pedro and Curridabat.
