Ara Ambigua Lodge is located just an hour and thirty minutes from San Jose. Set in an exuberant rain forest, the lodge is surrounded by an ecological paradise with tropical gardens, where local species are show cased. The lodge has three hectares of protected secondary forest that has been in recovery for many years with trails where guests can observe the flora and fauna that is characteristic of the tropical rainforest. Constant improvement has been the philosophy of Ara Ambigua Lodge, owners and employees. We are certified by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT), with the category of Certification for Sustainable Tourism in Costa Rica (CST). This certification is given to businesses that operate sustainably using the best possible practices culturally, socially and economically. At Ara Ambigua Lodge owners and employees committed to change the way we did things and focused on having more consciousness with regard to environmental friendliness. We have succeeded in implementing best practices with a model that is responsible and sustainable to the extent possible. In doing so, we motivate our guests to adopt our best practices.
