Alajuela

City

Alajuela is the third largest province in the country and you can find many different places in it. One can not speak of tourism in Alajuela without mentioning that the Juan Santamaria International Airport is located in this province. So, while all the tourists book their flight to San José, Costa Rica, in reality all of them land in the province of Alajuela. However, the main attraction of this province is quite far away from the airport. It is the Arenal volcano. Cartago

City

In Cartago province is the city of the same name, which was once the capital of Costa Rica. Although the capital has moved to San José, the city of Cartago is still very populous and important for the country. Heredia

City

Limón

City

Limón province stretches along all of the country's Caribbean coast. In this province you can find the ports of Limon and Moin, two of the most important ports in the country. City
